I have been struggling through this week on 50 mg Provigil, and there are definite benefits concentration wise: I'm less careless, less prone to wasting time for the sake of wasting time (as opposed say to reading a book or some other potentially edifying activity). I like this because I was becoming a mental vegetable. The problem is still the insomnia. I unquestionably have some narcolepsy-like condition, even though I don't fall asleep in inappropriate places. My pdoc told me to figure out the problems before escalating to 75 mg (it's a good thing I'm getting steadier with the pill cutter). I realized that clonazepam was adding to the sleep disruption, so even though I hate carrying pills to work, I take my second .5 mg before I head home, so it doesn't interfere with my sleep at night. That approach worked yesterday, and I got my first decent sleep in some time. Is it working OK for you? It DOES seem to make me more productive (and I'm hoping it lasts), but it's taking a lot of work to get to the point where I can see some results.
