Hi,

I had GB about 4 months ago. Just before surgery, my doctor put me on a liquid antidepressant (prozac) until about 2 months after surgery. I also take zyprexa, and she put me on zyprexa-zydis which melts on your tongue. For the other meds I take, I got a pill crusher and crushed them all, then put them on a spoonfull of applesauce. Within about 2 months after my bypass, I was able to swallow whole pills again and went back to my regular regimen. Your meds will have to be liquid form or crushable. If you are taking anything that is extended release, you'll have to go to the immediate release version as the extended release meds are not crushable. Good luck with your surgery!!! You will love the results!!!
