Hi!
I was on Celexa 40mg for 2 years with good results. Then I felt so good that I decided to wean off the medication. I took -10mg every two weeks. I had no withdrawl symptoms, besides a little headache.
After some stressful events in my life, I started to experience severy anxiety. I asked my pdoc to put me back on Celexa. He insisted that we switched to Lexapro because, according to him, it is the same medication with none of the SE!
I can tell you that I had the same SE on both meds. I even experienced more severe anxiety, jitters and flu-like symptoms on Lexapro.

The first 2-3 weeks on both meds are hell, but after 3 months on Lexapro 10mg,I can tell you that I feel as good on Lexapro as I did on Celexa.
