MAOIs increase dopamine. Nardil (Phenelzine), & probably Marplan (Isocarboxazid) too, increase GABA aswell as mono-amines. I'm not sure how they do this. I've read they are both Hydrazine derivatives & this has something to do with why they have an effect on GABA. Parnate (Tranylcypramine) has no GABA effect as its unrelated to Hydrazine. Perhaps you'd like to look into this more.
