Well, I spoke to my doctor, and his orders were that if my resting heart rate is above 100, I've got to stop the desipramine. It was 84 before I even got out of bed this morning, and now, sitting at my computer, it is 105-110.
Another antidepressant to throw on the pile of antidepressants that are not acceptable for one reason or another. This is a shame, because it was giving me a truly vigorous response. I wish he would just give me Parnate so I could get off of this merry-go-round, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Hell, he wouldn't even give me _Serzone_ because of "cardiac effects". Then why give me desipramine?!? Dopamine agonists are not an option he will consider, either. If I had insurance/money I'd already be doctor-shopping.
Time to sink back into my ADD/dysthymic fog and wait for the next appointment. Maybe I should try Wellbutrin *again* and just increase the Trileptal so it doesn't make me feel like climbing up the walls with my fingernails and screaming at my creator with reckless abandon.
Well, at least I'll be non-impotent & non-constipated.
*sigh*
