hello,
i have been on paxil for 5 years now for mild ocd
depression and anxiety. it's bad in the fall and winter and usually a non issue the rest of the time as long as i'm on paxil. well this winter i have had lots of major life changes happen
(bankruptcy,,gambling problem,, and my first child was born which is a good thing but major changes always mess with me)so i crashed and fell into this major depression again
my dr. put me on lexapro 10 mg. and it really seemd to help my depression after 2 weeks but i felt very irritable and tense and fired up. when i told him these side effects he said i should stop taking it immediately. now i'm back on paxil and feel like crap again.
so what i really would like to know is does anybody know if these irritable high strung side effects are normal and will they go away or will i stay hyper and tense and edgy all the time?
the dr. says lexapro raises norepinephrine as well as serotnin and that my brain must not react well to the raising of the norepinephrine?
can anybody relate to this and should i stay on lex and hope for these se's to subside?
sorry this is so long but i'm really struggling here~
my doctor put me on lexapro 10 mg.
