Effexor Withdrawals can be easier.
My wife was on Effexor XR 225mg per day (x3 75mg pills) for about 3 months. She and I both wrote this. When her insurance ended we discovered that to buy a 30 day supply would cost over $300. Nuts to that! So she decided to get off this addiction.
Talk to your doctor, tell them you want to get off and you want to get on Prozac. This is the standard drug being used to assist in the withdrawal symptoms.
She started the first 3 days just doing 2 pills a day or 150mg instead of the normal 3. She got real depressed. Things were hard for her until her doctor prescribed Prozac 20mg per day. After being on the prozac for 2 days she had dry mouth, shaky hands, some panic attacks, heart palipulations, feeling of depression, suicidal thoughts and feeling over heated. She said it was like a rollercoaster ride for those first two days….then, just like that is was all over. She kept taking the Prozac as prescribed. She then dropped down to 1 pill a day for a few days then zero.
She had a 5 day rough ride, but she survived it. Don’t just back off the drug by yourself. Talk to your doctor. That is what he gets paid to do.
