Hi:
One thing I know about atypical meds. is that Seroquel is one of the weakest atypical med., then most of times it is for 'sleeping well,' rather than for 'manic' related problems. On the otherhand, Zyprexa is 'A King of atypical' although some of people is critical, because of 'weight issue.'
Also, a newer form of atypical med. 'Abilify' is a good med., but there is a problem 'insomnia' to deal with.
In regard to 'night sweat,' it might be related to 'med. combo.' you've been on, ... but it's hard to say, ... 'weight losing/drop' is honestly, I never heard. More often, the hearing is 'weight gain,' because most of psycho. meds. have 'weight issues.' Probably, Effexor might be doing, ... the best bet is a med. that does not cause 'sweat' during sleep. But, I rarely sweat even during hot summer days, then it might be 'your sweat gland,' not med. induced, but I have no clue to say for sure.
