I tried the noradrenergic TCA's first, on my own initiative.Venlafaxine made me 'manic' in a dysphoric sense.
May it help now that you're on Lamictal ? I'm wondering because now I'm not on meds but my plan is to go on a mood stabilizer and only after trying to add some noradrenergic.
As I mentioned, Amantadine helped a great deal with focus and clarity of thought-shame about the minor issue of its inducing suicidal thoughts
you didn't to have to quit it for such a stupid side-effect ;-)

It didn't help but I tried it as a monotherapy. It made me aggressive and more distracted. I suppose my problem has nothing to do with Dopamine and very much with NE. Ritalin didn't make me aggressive but yes, more distracted.I quit it after few days. Anyway, everyone is different and so on ;-)
