Hi John,
I don't really know about your ears, I have had similar experiences but much milder ringing than you are describing.
I have had really bad experiences with ssri's, though. When I was on Paxil, Prozac etc. I felt extremely more paranoid and neurotic, and had extreme anxiety. It was a nightmare.
I have found that I cannot take those unless I have some sort of mood stabilizer. I think I am BP11, but not positive. All I know is that I react to those drugs like a bi-polar person does, and mood stabilizers are a must.
Sorry I can't be more help with your ears. Sometimes when I get the ringing I hold my breath and try to get more oxygen to my brain, and strangely that seems to help some.
