No I didn't experience that, but apparently sinus infections can produce a variety of symptoms. Mine mainly manifests as a pressure/dizziness/light-headedness, sometimes accompanied by a headache (and it makes my motion sickness much worse -- I have to move "carefully" to avoid setting it off).
BTW, I am puzzled that they are starting with an MRI. With me they started with a CAT scan of the sinuses (and only did an MRI to look more closely for "brain" things). Have you seen an Ear/Nose/Throat (ENT) doctor? That would be a good next step if sinusitis is suspected (non-ENTs don't always know how to best approach it).
