The same happened to me, however i was also taking another med with it. Are you taking Effexor alone? The buzzing continued to get louder until it became an unbearably loud "SCREEEE". No way to deal with it. Effexor was not the right fit for me. The solution was to change to another SSRI. Perhaps Effexor is not a good fit for you, either. BE SURE to tell your pdoc if it doesn't feel right and describe specifics. Request an alternative.
