In reply to Topamax - when to take??, posted by Nissy on August 6, 2003, at 22:47:25
I used to take it at night. My Dr. said peak levels in your blood occur mostly while you're asleep so things like being tired would be less of a problem. (than doing divided doses)
I used to take lithium 2x a day split doses for 6 years. For the last year, I 've been taking it at night and am less tired. So to answer your ?, in my experience nighttime is better for meds. But check with Dr. anyways.

I thought I'd take it at bedtime in case it makes me tired. But then it says on the bottle for the 50 mg to take one tablet twice a day. So would I take one in the morning and one at night? I know this is probably a no brainer. I already have brain fog and I haven't even started them yet. :)
