My diagnosis is 'Adjustment Disorder with mixed anxiety and depression.
I've been on Zoloft, Paxil, Serax, Valium, Tranxene, Ativan, Mebrocaronate, Risperdal, Neurontin, I believe Prozac, I've gotten to where I basically can't recall the what others.
My regular weight is 120lbs. (I'm 5'4") Since going from medication to medication I now weigh in at a whomping 175lbs which took just two years to get to.
I just 11 days ago switched from 3mg of Lexapro to 300mg Wellbutrin which I recently found out can take up to 8 weeks before you know if it's doing its job. I also take 3mg of Klonopin, which I believe isn't an adequate dosage for me. I feel it needs to be increased (I have a lot of nervousness and panic attacks)
I went off of the Lexapro because of some side effects; weight gain, but at this point I don't know how much (15lbs =/-) which I can't afford at this point, insomnia, swollen extremities (hands and feet).
Right now, at this very moment I AM A RECK! I am having nervousness and panic so badly that you'd think I just found something terrible out, like I have cancer or something...or imagine something worse. I can barely function. It's taking A LOT to write this. I really don't know how I've pulled myself together enough to get out of bed.
I feel I need to go back on the Lexapro and I know this is silly but I'm losing it with this weight I've put on.
IS THERE ANY OF YOU THAT HAVE NOT GAINED WEIGHT WITH LEXAPRO. Does anyone have any knowledge of Celexa? I realize weight gain should not be an issue when I'm so messed up, but it just adds to my depression.
Is anyone on an anxety med WITH KLONOPIN?
Has anyone had SUCCESS WITH WELLBUTRIN? And how long did it take before it worked?
DOES ANYONE KNOW A GOOD MED THAT DOESN'T CAUSE WEIGHT GAIN....why do doctors seem to always say there is only a slight chance or none at all? 55lbs later I can tell you it's NOT MY DIET. I am a very healthy eater. I don't eat just for the sake of eating, so no depression doesn't cause me to eat. I walk for exercise.
Wellbutrin, I know it can cause increased anxiety, but I have heard so much about it being a great weight loss med. It's also one of the medications listed to treat my disorder. Does anyone have knowledge to feel 11 days on Wellbutrin could be enough to begin causing side effects?
THAN YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
