I live in a part of the country where naturopathy and orthomolecular psychiatry are well-established and have had some very good results. However, vitamins and related supplements sometimes do not cross the blood brain barrier the way that pharmaceutical meds do, and you have to be careful of taking too high a dose of vitamins, etc. Too much of a good thing, etc.
I am familiar with Abram Hoffer's work, I think it has some real merit, but if you (or anyone else) is thinking of going the orthomolecular route, I would suggest you do it under the supervision/care of a doctor with this background.Do not do it on your own, or based on any doses mentioned in the book as they are general in nature, not custom-tailored to an individual such as you or someone else.
