Amantadine (Symmetrel) to augment antidepressants?

Posted by TJO on May 8, 2003, at 16:54:44

Hi.

I started taking amantadine (Symmetrel) a few days ago to augment my antidepressant treatment. So far, I can't tell that it is helping at all. I added it to Lamictal + imipramine + Lexapro.

Can anyone share their experiences? How long does it take before amantadine starts to work? I am currently taking 200mg.

Thanks.

- Scott
