I found Daytona beach to be rather "dirty" looking. My 16 year old son isn't to anxious to return there either. Oh well, that's what makes the world go round. Each of us being able to have our own opinions LOL.

> As for my favorite, I would have to say the Keys :-). If I had my choice that is, but got spoiled with the Keys being that my family still lives there and don't ever have to find a place to stay or pay the "tourist" prices for rooms LOL. The sunrises and sunsets there are the ultimate. But, when in Lauderdale I usually went to Pompano Beach or Fort Lauderdale beach. But, stayed away from the "strip" part of Fort Lauderdale. Usually went more down to the North and even farther North like Commercial. I am going to try and check out Cocoa Beach this weekend. I have never liked South Beach. Anyone on vacation likes it because it is "different" but I want to go to the beach to relax and South Beach really isn't about that.

OK DC, you win this round because I have not been to the other beaches. Went to key west a few years ago for a wedding and got to say it was a very intersting place. It was a beautiful sight as we made our SLOW drive throught the keys. I always stay at the quietest part of the beach. Like you, I like it quiet as possible to relax!!! TAKE CARE!!!!!!!!
