However, I had to lower my dose becuase of somethong like anxiety--kind of like I couldn't get certain thoughts out of my mind, a problem I had not had before nor since. Is it possible you need to LOWER your dose of parnate? 30 mgs n=might be fine if you are not depressed right now.
You know, at first, I was skeptical about lowering the dose of Parnate, as you know. but then you got me thinking. I looked at the package insert and it says, "Parnate may aggravate coexisting symptoms of anxiety in depression" and --more to the point, "Anxiety and agitation might be evidence of excessive therapeutic action. Lower the dose or add phenothiazine tranquilizer concomitantly."
So I guess perhaps the 40 mg. dose may be overstimulating me, and what I've been calling anxiety is really an agitation of sorts. Very hard to sort this out. I'm about to start with a new pdoc, so this will certainly give her something to think about.
