Zft has a half-life of approx 24 hrs. When you stop 5 days later you are 'clean'.

> I recently lowered my Zoloft dose from 100 to 50 mg, and don't feel too great (irritability, kind of agitated). But I need to determine if I don't feel so good due to the withdrawal effects OR is it because I really NEED the increased dosage.

With Zoloft I noticed no difference between 25mg and 200mg! I'd say it's the withdrawal.

That's GOT to be hard to determine for anyone here---whether it's just withdrawal OR whether you really need more of the med. So how long should I give it---1 month, 2 months, etc., before I know the answer? Anybody? Thanks in advance!

Give it 2 weeks (I presume you mean to determine whether it's withdrawal reaction or therapeutic decline?) to determine that it's only w/drawal.

Good luck, mate,

Ace.
