If not what ones did your psdoc prescribe that worked for you?Hi, I've found that Depakote has worked better than any med I have tried for irritability/explosive temper (specifically). It ain't too hot in other departments that I find very important however (such as depression, ADD, sleep). That makes it a "keeper" for me, but I have to take other meds. Watch out on the dosage though. It can trigger weight gain, metabolic slowing, and can aggravate depression. There is a risk of liver toxicity that is higher in young children than older adults. That is strange that the Abilify on its own doesn't control the symptoms you mention by itself (given that it is an antipsychotic). Does your daughter's psychiatrist suspect bipolar disorder?
