I was, and am working on the unnecessary mania still, but overall Effexor has been great for me anyway.

I had the same side effects the first month or so on Effexor. I still have sweats (usually in the early aafternoon, bur probably only 2 or 3 times a week. Also it will feel like my heart is racing. I'm having some blood work done and have low blood pressure. I think the racing is from Anxiety. I'm only taking 75mgs, my doctor would like to increase it, but I want to keep the dose as low as possible.
Hang in there, after that first month I bet you'll be pleasently surprised.
