Well it came! On Saturday weak stomach began, tachycardia (fast heartbeat), diaphoresis (lots of sweating), occipital headache radiating frontally, and nausea.
I took one 20mg nifedipene. Rang Ambulance. Bradycardia (slow heartbeat) in ambulance. On arrival and on way to hospital BP was very, very, high. At hostital, within hour BP went down significantly. After 2 hours BP was very good.
This wasn't much fun. The ambulance people were wonderful.
My question: around 30 mins before I had a hamburger. Could the meat have been old, containing excessive tyramine?
BUT -- throughout day I had been eating a LOT of chocalate Snickers sandwich paste. But a week or 2 prior I had been sculling this stuff -- eating a bottle and a half a day on average! See what Nardil does!
What do you thing was the precursor for my hypertensive crisis?
Do you think I could of stayed home after the Nifedipine? I required no further treatment -- just oxygen mask in ambulance and constant monetering. At hospital they just observed my BP twice.
Let me know what you think. Any qstns answered.
P.S. I would have this happen 50 times over for my dear Nardil!
