hi mitch :o)
to start off with, a general multivitamin, then perhaps extra calcium (but I need to track my usual intake to see if I really need it) maybe vit E, something for my joints, cant remember the name, oh, and that all time fav, additional C. OH OH and YES, fish oil, or flax oil or Omega 3 or Alpha one or Phi beta capa....do those come in capsules? (As you can see I am having a hard time taking any of this very seriously)I have tried suppliments in the past. I took a multi with Zinc when starting Depakote, but did not notice any difference in "hair retention", what I noticed is after 9 months, all went back to normal...When taking C for prevention of colds, I noticed I drank more water (to down the pills) and I had less illness.
So far, I am taking no suppliments, I am the healthest I have been, and the only thing I can point to is (not compulsively) diligently, washing my hands and getting lots of sleep.
As to the suppliments helping with my mental health, I can say, over the years of trying Bs and evening primrose oil and and and...there has been no change other than what might be placebo...because after awhile it goes away.At this point, I feel pretty good with the meds I am taking. The addition of the CCB has helped a lot. And, so, I thought, hm, suppliments arent going to be the answer, but perhaps there is some careful tuning of my nutrition in order? Time to try again.
The bug of all of this, is it could all change at any time any way, because
"Thats just the way it is"
