I had insomnia and restless legs from Prozac, Celexa and Effexor (all SSRI's). I've read on these message boards that Paxil seems to work better for women and Effexor for men, for what it's worth. If you were set on a SSRI, I would try either of these depending on your gender. I suspect the you will still get the restless legs and other side effects. Ambien helps me sleep without a hangover the next morning, when I've taken while on a SSRI.

My mother-in-law has great success with Paxil for anxiety and eating disorders. She loves the drug, but everyone is different. I hope you find the right one for you.
