Diazepam: Valium vs generic ?

I am just wondering if any one has noticed a difference between the different brands of Diazepam on the market? Are the generic brands as effective as Valium?

I am about to renew my prescription for Valium and I'm wondering if it would be worth paying less for a generic brand?
