I know you said you don't want to start over with a new pdoc, but it could save you a LOT of time in the long run. If you're with the wrong pdoc it can be a huge waste of time. You should see the best pdoc you can afford. It's unfortunate that you have to pay a lot of money to get the kind of care everyone deserves, but it's the truth. However, most pdocs of that caliber are willing to work something out if you can't afford the cost.
Seroquel is a very sedating med, and if you are also on Topamax I can understand how sedated you must be. Is it providing any benefit for you? Has any other anti-psychotic helped you in the past? Since you can't take Geodon, you might try Risperdal. It's far less sedating than Seroquel with less weight gain than say zyprexa. Judging from the meds you're on I would guess you are bipolar II or bipolar NOS. Have you tried Wellbutrin? It shouldn't negatively effect your sex life, and may actually increase desire. It is also somewhat stimulating. Have you ever tried Provigil to combat sedation? Even though it is a milder stimulant with far less mood elevation, for me it cuts through the sedation of meds better than the classic stims like Adderall. Have you entertained the idea that you may be on too many meds, and perhaps fewer meds plus therapy may actually be better for your situation? Don't underestimate the power of meds + therapy. There's a reason why there are so many clinical trials testing this approach for different illnesses. Of course I'm talking about a good CBT therapist, and perhaps you are already seeing one. OK, I'm done running my mouth. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but just give you some ideas to think about.
Good Luck,
Jon
