Topamax and Effexor?

I have been taking Topamax for about 3 weeks. I really feel like I need a SSRI along with it for anxiety and nerve pain. My Dr. had originally prescribed the Effexor, but after reading the negative things about it I was leary of taking it.
I had tried Prozac for about 6 months a year ago and felt like it really didn't take the edge of the anxiety not to mention the weight gain. The problem is I wanted to discuss this with my Dr. but he is out of town for two weeks. Dose anyone have experience with this combo? Thanks in advance.
