Is Paxil known to do this? With my illness I would always have passion for her but now it's like i dont even have the motivation to even hug her if i were there.

The depression itself may have a profound affect on your relationship.Honestly, the SSRI meds, like Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft, can
dampen the sex drive. A couple days on a med is not long
enough to evaluate its effect on your life. Many of times this may subside over
a number of weeks as the side effects wear off.Wellbutrin, Remeron , and Serzone are thought to be much less
benign in this regard. Ditto for the Aps.You could give Remeron a shot. It has a mechanism of action that
manipulates serotonin receptors just like the APS. It also boosts a stimulatory
chemical called norepinephrine. Also, it is an antihistamine (like benadryl),
so it is *well know* for its ability to help with the sleep. However it leaves
some people a bit hazy during the day. At the higher doses, more of the
stimulatory chemical is theorized to be released (norepinephrine) and some people
feel the fog lift during the day. The down side of remeron over the APs is that
it is less of a combined AD/mood stabilizer. Purely an AD.Take Care,
John
