Remeron Help!!

I have been taking remeron at varying doses for the last year. Now I am trying to discontinue it and am down to 7 1/2 mg. Each time I try to cut this in half ( 3 1/2 mg ) I wake up the following day feeling VERY anxious, nauseated, and very tired thru the day. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone have words of advice. Thank you all.
