nicotine cravings and decreased paxil

i am a casual smoker and just recently decreased my paxil (for GAD) from 40 to 30 mg/day because of "hyper episodes". since doing this, i notice i am smoking much more - i can't really explain this increased craving because i've never really been a regular smoker. could decreasing the paxil make me crave nicotine more?
any thoughts?
