I thought of a couple of things when I was reading your post. Possibly when you originally quit the Zoloft you were experiencing discontinuation symptoms. They can be pretty bad, especially if you quit cold turkey. 100 mgs. of Zoloft is a pretty good dose, so you could have had problems stopping it. I have been through withdrawels, and it's horrible. I experienced hallucinations, voices, severe insomnia, severe agitation, you get the picture. And as far as feeling like there is "no thoughts" running through your brain, I get that too on my current med (which is Zoloft). It's not a great side effect, but I figure it is better than dreaded thoughts are high anxiety. I have been on some medication where I could not feel the effect of alcohol at all (for me it was Paxil). As far as recreational drugs mixed with the prescribed kind, it's probably not a great idea to begin with since they are both mind altering (not passing judgement here). You might want to get a few opinions from different doctors to see what the recommend as far as treatment and meds. Sorry I can't be of more help, just thought I would share my experiences. Take care.
