Severe antidepressant withdrawal

Posted by Bookgurl99 on April 2, 2002, at 8:41:14

Okay, because of the negative cognitive effects I was experiencing, the psychologist had me stop all antidepressants -- background: a month ago I had attempted to switch from Serzone to Luvox, plus had a negative reaction to a shot of Reglan in the ER. I stopped the Luvox on Feb. 24, and stopped Serzone a week ago.

My cognition has now sped up, but I am having a SEVERE withdrawal reaction the likes of which I have not heard. I'm having severe anxiety accompanied with tachycardia, plus the OCD that I was treated for to begin with. I am not working at the moment because it is so severe.

Has anyone else gone through this and come out the other side? How long can I expect these effects to last?
