Do Stimulants Really Help Social Phobia?

Hey There,
I have social anxiety and have tried a klonopin/stimulant combo. I still am not clear how effective stimulants are for social anxiety. They definately help with conversation and socialiblity. But I never felt like my *real* self ... more *high*.
Can anyone comment on this? Do stimulants restore normal personality or just make you high?
