Yeah that is how SS disability operates a lot of times. When I applied for SS disability a few years back (got turned down and didnt bother appealing it) I had to see this other local psychiatrist SS disability contracted with. For an "objective" or neutral opinion. Evidently what he thought was that I wasnt that bad. He thought I had agitated depression basically. I didnt like the psychiatrist SS disability had me see...I would never go to that guy on my own. But I didnt care, I paid nothing SS disability pays for it.So if they make you see another doctor, keep in mind thats normal and you wont have to pay.
