I would like to find links to a site of the dosages of psychyotropic drugs, given to patients when their medication is co-administered with another drug that inhibits its metabolism or vice-versa i.e. Nefazadone and Sertraline. Searching around the net couldnt find much at all.
However, there are at www.prekorn.com a theory of calculating how to make dosage adjustments.
I dont think there is any concrete answer on dosages when there is the likeli-hood of a drug-drug interaction and physicians are left to make an informed decision?
In my case I was wondering whether it would still be okay to continue with 100mg/day of Sertraline if Nefazadone was augmented or, alternatively, a reduction to 50mg/day a safer bet on the inevitability of decreased Sertraline clearance and possible toxicity?? I will of course discuss this with him but many thanks for any views on this.
