LiLi, why not increase your complex carbohydrate foods instead of all the fatty foods that are being recommended? Not everyone likes porridge (though I sure do still) but a big bowl of porridge made with milk instead of water & a mashed ripe banana & brown sugar is delicious (& quick to make). Eat more whole-grained breads, rolls, pita bread, or rotis (chapatis) with your meals or just snack on them in between. Have a small sandwich or starchy snack (but healthy) before you go to bed with a small glass of milk. It'll help you sleep better & tend to make you wake up hungry in the morning. Just a small amount or else you'll feel too uncomfortably full to sleep well.
Nibble on nuts through the day or include them as spreads on bread. They're high calorie & healthy. If you like macaroni & cheese (NOT Kraft's!!), that's pretty healthy & high calorie. There's many starchy foods that are healthy & high in calories.
Have you tried any of these foods regularly in your diet?
