********************************************8Ask your doctor if they are willing to live with the medical consequences of taking you off a medication that has been proven to work for you. The implication is that they are doing harm and could be sued if you suffer severe consequences because of such uniformed advice.
If they don't answer and ask any questions, run, don't walk to a doctor for a second opinion - preferably one that will listen to what you tell them makes you feel better - a specialist that treats the anxiety disorders that hasn't a problem prescribing benzodiazapines. There are plenty out there. Ask them up front.
Taking someone off of a medication that is successfully treating a patient is the height of iresponsibility - especially if it for unfounded or "reasons of probability" that there may be a better drug out there. That's playing with people's lives like guniea pigs. You are the boss and your doctor is your employeee. As soon as you realise this, you won't become a victim of poor health care.....
