Hi I just started taking it on Saturday, is Tuesday as I write this.. was prescribed 300 mg a day (which is the minimum dosage recommended), at 150 twice daily.. but I could handle only 150 mg once a day, and today cut down to 75, and even that is too much.
Basically the symptoms I'm getting are a feeling of being 'high'/stoned, but usually not with the fun of actually being stoned. It's accompanied by a strong feeling of pressure in the head like I poured a bowl of water into it. Other side effects vary such as occassionally being aware of heartbeat thud thud thud (even tho it's not going all that fast, at 90 bpm or so atm). It's hard to think/do much when I'm in this stoned state. I actually find it kind of overwhelming.
I can feel the effects of the medication a solid 24+ hours after I take it. No lie.The info sheet on it says to call the doctor for stuff like pressure in the head, etc. So I did. The family doctor that wrote the prescription said that it might subsidize and to reduce the dosage to see if you get used to it. So I took 75 mg an hour ago and it's almost as strong as 150 in terms of the sucky side effects, except I'm less manic and not horny.
Wanted some feedback on whether this is par for the course, because it really sucks feeling pressure in the head and stuff.
