That's interesting. I used to get atrocious cramps but not since I started taking Klonopin a few months ago. I think the muscle relaxant effect of the drug might have something to do with it. But I posted earlier that the only drugs that helped with PMS-related insomnia were NSAIDs even though they were not sedative. Ibuprofen, naproxen, anything like that. It works, but it doesn't help with the depression. In fact I read somewhere that NSAIDs were among the drugs known to trigger depression in susceptible people. But I guess this is probably more of a problem for people who have say, arthritis, and have to take large doses everyday.
Anyway, it seems contradictory to take sedatives for cramps and anti-inflammatories for insomnia but apparently this is what works for me.

I don't know about the food. I don't have much of an appetite so I don't get cravings even before my period. But I noticed that my symptoms decreased when I forced myself to eat sweet or starchy things. Usually Cheetos will do.

> I am also on Remeron and have SEVERE Menstrual cramps. They are so horrible. I get bitchy..cranky... pains 1 week before my period then it starts all over again. The only thing that has helped alot is IBUPROFEN 800mg. I miss work... i cant move... i cry.. i throw up. Funy thing is.... people say "the better you eat" the worse your period is". Makes me want to eat junk food all day!
