In reply to Is Serzone and Xanax really dangerous?, posted by Gracie2 on November 28, 2001, at 13:29:20
Gracie - Sorry to hear about your predicament. No, Xanax™ (alprazolam) can be taken with Serzone™ (nefazodone), but don't overdo it or you will be a zombie around your family. The Xanax will just put off dealing with your real problems, and won't "fix" anything in the long run. Have a talk with your doctor &/or therapist about this.
Yours is another very common case of what I call "Tis-the-season-to-be-jolly-itis". Man, sometimes holidays are just more hassle than they're worth. Take care, Gracie, many of us can relate.
Keep us posted, and hang in there. If anything, try to keep your chin up for the children (if you have any). Try to let them enjoy Christmas while they are young and still have the delusions of a "happy holiday season". I hope that the last comment does not put too much pressure on you, though. It's just that kids grow up too fast, and begin to realize that Christmas isn't always a really joyous time; I believe in letting them have their fantasy while they still can.
Sincerely - Cam
