I have taken Neurontin - it is very mild, from all accounts, and low side effect profile. But it does really help some folks. I think that was an excellent suggestion!

> Remeron beat prozac for depression in extensive studies. ALso prescork.com states adding another ssri, I prefer 100mg 5htp, help alot with depression. Adding .5mg a day of xanax wipes out anxiety. No other sleep med needed.

I guess for now we have to stick with beer or ghb >CHUCKLE!I tried remeron- that is the reason I basically failed out of my senior year of college, but fortunately my psychdoc wrote a note so I got a medical withdrawl instead of all F's and can go back next fall. I was on Remeron 45 mg (higher doses of remeron are less sedating) and slept 17 hrs per day & couldn't get out of bed to go to class. Also, as an Anti-depressant it had no effect for me at all- I stayed in my room all day at school and never came out & talked to anyone. I talked to lots of people when I took Zoloft 100 mg but I couldn't sleep & had chest pain- one time I didn't sleep for five days in a row! Effexor XR- this stuff was evil, it made me horribly depressed, an insomniac, nervous, & I felt like I was going to have a heart attack.
