No-one listed the more obvious side effects
of dermatitis, itching, skin-rashes, slurred
speech (loss of word), stumbling.

Generally these are transient. Lamictal takes
a long time to dose and has advantages over other
anti-convulsants in that it is less sedating and
more likely to have an anti-depressant effect.
But you can't have your cake and eat it too,
so you have to titrate the dose really slowly
to avoid a rash. You can raise the dose on
most other meds more quickly.
