In reply to Zyprexa Information Anyone?, posted by jotho on September 27, 2001, at 8:20:02
Hi,
I don't have any links to articles (the poster known as SalArmy4Me has zillions and hopefully will post some here 4 you). However, I *can* speak ffrom direct experience with Zyprexa, at a low dose!
My pdoc prescribed it for me at first to quell racing thoughts and catastrophic thinking, which it got rid. For weeks, however, I fought increased appetite, successfully, so I did not gain the usual weight that accompanies this med.
Not only did it quiet my racing mind, but now I take it in the evening and in conjunction with Klonopin, I *thank* Zyprexa for restoring my ability to fall and stay asleep.
For me (and I can only speak for myself), the lowest available dose (2.5 mg) is safe and effective. I don't know how it would be in conjunction with Adafranil ... however, I would encourage you to ask your pdoc about it!
Good luck,
-Janelle
