My experience has been that going back to an SSRI after a poop-out has been useless, even though the fond memories of the good times on that particular drug are strong. Add some Remeron to your Effexor to make the "big gun" therapy mentioned by Dr. Stahl in Psychopharmacology Tips: http://www.dr-bob.org/tips/split/Mixing-antidepressants.html
