When I emailed that quote from Cheney to my pdoc, he wrote back, "My respect for Cheney just dropped several orders of magnitude." The book Cheney based his remarks on is junk science and sensationalism, based on studies that do not even apply.
What I think is, people should take what they need to and what works for them. Obviously we don't know all there is to know about these meds, but it is possible to make intelligent decisions. . .and I know for me, choices based on panic usually aren't!
