Also, many people can get away with taking Klonopin twice a day, since it lasts longer than Ativan (I personally find it works better if I take it three times a day). 1 mg/day isn't going to substitute for 6 mg/day of Ativan, regardless. I think that 1.5 mg twice a day would be a better place to start, considering the amount of Ativan you've been taking.
