Don't do anything permanent or drastic until you've had a second opinion.
What's your diagnosis. What have you tried.
I've been through that mill of a medication a month. I don't see how an unstable mood can be stabilized by giving a person a different psychotropic drug a week. You haven't commented on depression and menopause/menstruation issues. If you are menopausal, estrogen defficiency can be contributing to depression. Your doctor if he's male and not at the top of his profession is unlikely to think of this since it's outside his specialty.
Answer this post. More details please? I am sure other people will answer, too.
> Has anyone else been given this drug? I could barely find any info on the web about it. I do know, however, that it nearly killed me last night. I was in an unconscious state, with my heart rate decreased beyond belief.
> Needless to say, I'm not taking it again. I have another good question for all of you. Does your doc chnge your meds nearly every week? Mine does to combat side effects/and sometimes it seems mainly for the hell of it. Is this normal until you find what works for you? Let me know.
> This doc keeps giving me drugs that I am not supposed to be taking, due to a heart prob. and a recent liver problem. Do they even read the damn side effects before handing it out like Chiclets? (For those of you who may not know, Chiclets are a rather tasty chewing gum!)
> Any info would be so very helpful, my family is ready to sue the guy for nearly stopping my heart last night, and I don't know what to tell them!
