Richelson: anti-convulsant use in depression

Posted by Rudiger on April 13, 2001, at 17:40:42

Could you please give us any observations regarding the anti-depressant effects of the various anti-convulsants? I am particularly interested in gabapentin, topiramate and carbamazepine (I couldn't tolerate Lamictal). I would also appreciate it very much if you could recommend a few of your colleagues at Mayo Clinic in Rochester who have a great deal of expertise in treating treatment-resistant depression. (Dr. Bob, I couldn't access the grand-rounds presentation despite having downloaded the plug-in. Any ideas?)
