Risperdal is good for many different things outside of psychosis. First, its a major tranquilizer--it improves sleep quality tremendously. Next, there is evidence that it improves response times to SSRIs--most specifically paroxetine. It also has antianxiety and anti-obsessional components. I'm more a fan of Zyprexa than of Risperdal, though.
> My doctor has added risperdal.25mg to my wellbutrin 150mg and depakote 750mg What does risperdal do? what symptoms can it alleviate. The doctor asked me if I ever had a psychotic episode. I don't know. What is considered a psychotic episode. also doc says I have some ocd. Sometimes I get into the mode where I get fixated on one project and can't stop doing it until I think it is done. ex. mop and shine all floors until they shine just right even if it takes two days, all day. Is there anyone elese who gets like this?
