I was taking both but ended up withdrawing from effexor because I was having lack of sexual desire as well as lack of feelings. I found I didn't look forward to anything. Effexor withdrawal was not good for me. Sever side effects (look up effexor withdrawal) but now just on Wellbutrin am starting to feel again (also cry more readily) and look forward to things and my sexual desire seems to be coming back. Hope this helsp.
